New Microsoft-IAMCP Engagement Model Announced
Share |

IAMCP–US has been working with Microsoft over the last several months to address serious issues raised in feedback from our members and from some Microsoft field personnel regarding the perceived decrease in the level and quality of field engagement and support from Microsoft to the members of our various chapters.

Thanks to the continued efforts of our US Board and the Microsoft team and the excellent relationship we have developed, these efforts are delivering exciting and highly valuable results for all of us.

The Microsoft US Partner Team will be launching a new IAMCP engagement model framework outlining prescriptive guidance on how Microsoft will support IAMCP chapters across the US. This engagement model will provide support to all chapters in a tiered coverage model which includes "Core Coverage” and "Extended Coverage”.

  • Core Coverage: Ten IAMCP-US chapters will be assigned a "Microsoft Engagement Team” composed of specific people from Microsoft. The engagement team will consist of an Area Partner Territory Manager (PTM), a Local Engagement Team (LET) Business Development Manage (BDM) and one of the Field SMB Marketing Managers.
  • Extended Coverage: The "Microsoft Engagement Team” will leverage the three IAMCP regional leads to offer modified support for the remaining IAMCP chapters. The Microsoft Engagement Team will consist of an Area Partner Territory Manager (PTM) and SMB Marketing Manager with an emphasis on communications support over in-person meetings and presentations.

The tiered model will allow Microsoft to provide a higher level of support to chapters within physical proximity to a field office and provide a modified level of support to developing chapters in all other areas. Details are being finalized and will be announced shortly.

This new IAMCP Engagement Model is designed to increase the current level of support, provide consistency, strengthen the ties between our chapters and the local Microsoft offices, and most importantly increase value for all IAMCP members across the United States.

The new IAMCP Engagement model will launch next quarter. An exact date and other details will be announced over the next few weeks.
