The ATHENA International Global Leadership Award is presented to those leaders who demonstrate professional excellence and community service, and who actively assist women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. It has been presented to women such as NASA Astronaut, Christina Kock, Condoleezza Rice, and the recently-deceased Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
This year’s event, hosted by the WIT (Women in Technology) Network, will honour Microsoft’s Gavriella Schuster, Corporate Vice President, One Commercial Partner, the first woman in IT to receive this award.
“While myself and an entire nation continues to reflect on the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, my hero and one of the most powerful agents of change in my lifetime, it’s somewhat bittersweet to be receiving the ATHENA International Global Leadership Award this week. I’m most humbled and incredibly honored to receive this accolade.” – Gavriella Schuster
The award ceremony takes place on Thursday, October 8, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. EDT. If you’d like to share in the celebration, you can register here.
“Sincere congratulations and thank you, Gavriella, for your exceptional leadership and all that you do to help the advancement of women in IT.” - Sérgio Baptista, President, IAMCP International
