Celebrating D&I across the globe - and Microsoft ecosystem

The results of the IAMCP’s D&I poster challenge are in - and the winners are...

 

 

 

The IAMCP D&I (Diversity and Inclusion) team laid down a challenge. And you took it up! From across all geographies, we have received inspiring pictures of Diversity and Inclusion in action, illustrating how the D&I Poster is displayed in workplaces and showcasing the sentiment of teams. The contest was also endorsed by Microsoft.

What mattered most in selecting the winners

 

In making its decision, the judging team took into consideration the:

 

  • Overall creativity in taking the picture
  • Diversity shown in the picture
  • Impact of the exercise to promote diversity within the team and through social media
  • Messaging accompanying the pictures submitted

The results are in! Here is the list of Global and Regional winners.

 

Global Winners:

 

1st Place: EMEA - Plain Concepts, Spain

 

Founded in Spain in 2006 with the objective of offering its clients a suite of innovative technological solutions, Plain Concepts is a Microsoft partner with over 10 Gold and Silver certifications, has been recognized by Microsoft as preferred AI and Mixed Reality Partners, and received a Partner of the Year award in 2016.

Plain Concepts currently has more than 350 employees distributed in 14 offices across three continents, and attributes its success to the recruitment of the best technology talent from a diverse range of cultures, races, religions, and genders.

2nd Place: EMEA – Columbus Global, UK

 

Columbus is a global IT services and consulting corporation with more than 2,000 employees serving customers worldwide to succeed in digital transformation.

Columbus UK presented the IAMCP D&I poster to 200 people at its 2020 kick-off meeting on January 10, then discussed its relevance for the company as a focussed D&I organization with further plans for setting ambitions targets and training to make goals a reality. The team had a picture taken with the poster (which had to be taken twice, making it even more memorable) and the poster is now on the office kitchen wall to help continue the discussion.

 

 

3rd Place: APAC – Intech Systems, India

 

 

Intech Systems is a Microsoft Dynamics Partner in India with Gold competency. The company provides consultation, implementation and support across various business solutions like ERP, CRM, Cloud, Business Intelligence and other complementary solutions.

Regional Winners:

 

Americas:  Identity Maestro

 

Omni Technology Solutions, Inc. is a software application development company headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Omni is the parent company of Riva CRM Integration and Identity Maestro and has locations in the US, Canada and Europe. The Omni group of companies (Omni) employs 125 staff with 80 based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Omni is a Microsoft Gold Partner, and a proud member of IAMCP.

Identity Maestro is proud of the diversity and inclusion the company has developed, borrowing from its family values as an independently owned and operated company.

 

Company’s stats speak about their diverse workforce:

 

  • 25% of staff are women with STEM-related roles, such as Software Development
  • Women represent 30% of Senior Management
  • Employees represent over 20 different nationalities
  • 42% employees are under 35 years old
  • 46% are between 35 and 54 years old

EMEA:  BindTuning

 

Portugal-based BindTuning is a Microsoft Gold Cloud Productivity and Silver Application Development partner. The company is also a member of IAMCP Portugal.

During the Holidays, BindTuning employees, who are from a variety of different countries and cultures, gathered together around the D&I poster to celebrate the diversity of the team.

They even created a video to showcase their diversity.

 

  

 

APAC:  Dhyey Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd. 

 

 

 

Based in Vadodara City, Gujarat, India, Dhyey Consulting Services is a Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and Value-Added Reseller (VAR) Microsoft Dynamics partner. Dhyey is a leading business solution consultant for many successful companies across the globe, helping businesses to improve effectiveness by optimizing their operations and practices.

Dhyey Consulting has a very open mindset to providing employment and bringing greater opportunity to deserving people. The company has a very diverse culture with employees from across the country (sates of Kerala, UP, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat), with different religious backgrounds (Hindu, Christian, Islam). The organization is 75+ people strong, with a current 42 percent female and 58 percent male ratio, while employees’ age ranges from 21 to 48 years. Also, Dhyey Consulting engaged a few trainees who are physically challenged (dumb and deaf).

Dhyey welcomes any initiative to increase awareness of Diversity & Inclusion and made an active effort to participate in this IAMCP D&I competition, engaging all employees through information and photo sessions.
