European SMEs Seize the Cloud
Policies to promote Economic Growth through Cloud Computing
The European IT sector includes tens of thousands of SMEs, including thousands of startup companies. These SMEs are the engine of economic growth in Europe. According to studies by IDC, the European Union's IT sector in 2010 employs close to 8 million people of which 99% are working in small to medium sized enterprises. Jobs in the SME IT sector are expected to grow at a faster rate than total employment over the period of 2009 – 2014, and this sector should stimulate over 550,000 new jobs.
The evolution of cloud computing offers many of these companies new opportunities to innovate, grow and compete. Seizing these opportunities will result in economic gains for European SMEs and the EU economy as a whole.
_ PartnerPulse is one of the key ways IAMCP members have a voice to Microsoft. The PartnerPulse Report is delivered to Microsoft Execs quarterly and contains feedback from IAMCP Members to Microsoft that is represents the "pulse” of the Microsoft partner ecosystem as a whole. What are partners looking at as their biggest opportunity? What problems are they facing in their business? How can Microsoft improve their products, programs and support for partners? This is one of Microsoft’s only sources for unsolicited feedback from Partners.
Our first issue of Partnerpulse was delivered at WPC 2010. To participate, post your thoughts in the short PartnerPulse Form or email your thoughts to email@example.com Each quarter, feedback is reviewed by the IAMCP Board and written up into a report for Microsoft where Microsoft's response will be solicited and posted here.
MPN Value Report. The MPN Value Report is a Microsoft-funded, IAMCP-authored report which Microsoft used to help guide the Partner ecosystem on the transition to MPN in 2010. The MPN Value Report was delivered at WPC 2010.
To participate in any future versions of this report, we are currently seeking IAMCP Member Participants to report their experience, best practices and documented value in what they see in MPN. If you are interested in participating, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
