What is IAMCP?
IAMCP is a professional association organized in local chapters that is dedicated to assisting members in business development. The chapter activities are aimed at helping people and companies in the "Microsoft ecosystem” broaden their base of business opportunities within their own communities and around the world through partnering among IAMCP members. It's a great way to be equipped to offer your clients complete solutions without the expense of keeping a full house of technical practices and trained individuals on your payroll. Business development and bottom line profit are our goals.
Why should I join IAMCP?
Joining IAMCP is a great opportunity to collaborate with likeminded partners, to work together on customer projects, to have a voice into Microsoft programs, to have a united voice to the trade press and the IT community at large, and to be part of a global/local vehicle that facilitates mutual growth and business development among partners. Our mission is to maximize business opportunities for our members and build relationships with Microsoft. You’ll have the opportunity to meet other professionals and to impact the future of our industry. The members of the Association foster personal relationships that generate business opportunities. Whether you are an infrastructure partner, ISV partner, training partner, Cloud partner, licensing/reseller partner, marketing agency partner, or Dynamics partner, our membership represents a variety of non-competitive product and service providers with whom you can partner to offer a portfolio of solutions and extend your capability with your customers. IAMCP provides a great opportunity for companies even if they don’t have a direct relationship with Microsoft, since your IAMCP chapter works closely with the local Microsoft Office.
Do you have to be a Microsoft Certified Partner to join IAMCP?
Not any longer! As of May, 2010 the IAMCP is broadening its efforts to align with the new MPN structure. Now membership is open to any individual in the IT industry, whether they are part of the Microsoft Partner Network program or not.
What happens if there's no chapter in my city/country?
You have two choices. 1) You can help start a chapter with the help of the IAMCP Business Office and your local Microsoft representative; or 2) You can join IAMCP as a "Member-at-Large"(Int’l or US).
What's a Member-at-Large?
Members at large live in areas without a local chapter. Joining at this level offers the member benefits including rights to the private section of the IAMCP Web site, including the database of partners and benefits sponsors offer, and also access to IAMCP online events.
Do I have to be a member to attend a local chapter meeting?
Most chapters allow you to attend a meeting or two as a guest to explore the possibilities of membership. Check with your local chapter for more details.
